Tech Tip – How to Launch the Same App More than Once
I learned a new trick for Tech Tips today. Have you ever wanted to launch multiple copies of the same piece of software in Windows 7? Sometimes you want to edit multiple documents or spreadsheets and you don’t want to have to switch back and forth using the Switch Window option. And while the Switch Window option isn’t necessarily a bad thing – it does have its uses – there is no way to break it out into its own window much the same way as you can with say, Internet Explorer. The answer? Easy! Simply hold down the Shift key and left-click on the first instance of the app in question that is running on the Windows Taskbar and the second instance will be launched.
Nice Tech Tip, huh? Got any that you would like to share?
